No excuses from the players

They will be playing second tier football in front of a premier league sized support of 30000 today. No excuses are needed from anyone. If the players fail, then they deserve stick. We expect them to deliver and not be another bunch of failures who are not fit to have the support they get. No excuses.

Bit over the top?

What if ref has a crap game, or we get 2 strikers crocked?

I get your point, but.....

No pressure, then! Mistakes are made, wrong decisions happen. That's life. Let's hope it's one of those days where it all clicks, like Tuesday.
No player goes out to fail.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Just hope something happens early to get the crowd straight into the game, whereas it's been a bit flat in the previous 2 home games. :albion2:

Just in case the op hasn't noticed, a reminder that in this league ANYONE can beat ANYONE, IMO that is the beauty of it. Should we miss out, after the initial disappointment I will be looking forward to it all starting agin in August. This is a FANTASTIC division and it will not be the end of the world if we are playing in it next season.

Having said that I have a good feeling about the rest of this season.

Yes there is pressure and so there should be. If the players cant handle pressure and expectation then they should play for a club that gets 3000 not 30,000. They have pressure on them and they deserve pressure on them. Either they show they deserve to be at a club with a support like Brighton or they don't. No excuses.

Unfortunately the size of your crowd doesn't win games, it just helps a bit if the crowd get behind you, not if they boo you at half time. That just ramps up the pressure.

You do not understand human nature. The players are not robots than can be switched on & off. That's the beauty of football, in that it is unpredictable. Yes, the most consistent team will win the division but no team has the right to win a game.

Brighton have failed to fulfil its potential for a 100 years. Its time we said enough is enough and we started to expect and exceed the standards that clubs who get a smaller following. Brighton players have had it easy this season.

It seems that the OP doesn't understand that.

We 'expect' to win and there could be 30,000 of us, so our robots are programmed to win. The other team don't count because we are Brighton and we deserve to win every game.

This. The OP is obsessed by our lifelong "underachieving". The other teams really must stop trying so hard.

TBH, seems more like fishing each time he posts the same thing.

No mate, you miss the point. We have expectations and should have expectations to do better than clubs with a smaller support. In the same way United expect to be better than Spurs, Spurs expect to be better than West Brom and Sheffield United expect to be better than Rotherham. Some Brighton fans seem to this this logic does not apply to Brighton and this lack of expectation has been one of the reasons why this club has never fulfilled its potential. Time for a change, if the players fail then they should be told that in no uncertain terms. No excuses. If the players are good enough to be with us then its time they bloody well showed it.

Ahh. More positive vibes from WCP. Hope you're not going today.
