I'm sure this happened once, courtesy of Gull's Eye.

Does any photographic evidence exist of him leading the team out?

Did he hold the captain's hand as he led the team out? I can remember the day, but I can't remember that bit :lolol:

I believe it was Steve Fosters hand he was holding!

Sprinted towards the North Stand and dived onto the penalty spot.

Got up to reveal his shorts had fallen down.

BRILLIANT MEMORIES!!!

I`m taking him tomorrow so if anyone wants to say hello we are in North stand at the front , block N1A, row A. He has promised to keep his shorts on though. Be prepared though as he calls everyone Dave now since the stroke.

I made a football moc doc TV pilot a few years back and asked Nige to be the mascot as homage to the 'shorts incident'.... he even wore the same British Caledonian top!!!

He's still wearing that top!

:lolol: You`re right he is. He lives in his Albion gear. A few years ago when John Keeley doubled up as kit man as well as goalkeeping coach he would sort Nige out with old shirts that the players had used. Even though they were 6 sizes to big for Nige he had all the different ones except the black one. He rang Keelo up and asked him if he could get him the black one for the following week as he had a funeral to go to. The thing was, he was being serious.

When are you there till? I'm in WSU & would love to say hi to him (haven't seen him since before his stroke). Used to live around the corner from him for a few years.

Sent from my Nexus S using TapaTalk while bashing one out.

Am going into North stand bar afterwards for a pint or 2 Yoda. Pop round.

A guy I used to work with was once mascot for Crawley in their non league days.

He was in his early 40s at the time!
