I think it was Shrewsbury away of maybe on a Worthing coach when Nige was starkers and we turned the flames 🔥 up on our lighters and set fire to his genitalia, He spend the whole game watching the match wearing only a surgical mask around that area. His underpants got thrown out the skylight of the clack and landed on the windscreen of our police escort. They turned them to get rid but they got caught and wouldn’t come off. I’m crying and laughing at the same time.
Brilliant!! 🤣

My god we’re going have some stories to tell mate. I’ll never forget all the Worthing players faces who knew him well when taking the plaudits before the game with Oxford in 82 with him half way up the fence naked 😂

Didn't he lead the fans across the pitch and into the West Stand at the boycotted Mansfield game? The re-taking of the Goldstone!

RIP Nigel.
Yep…I nearly fell over him when he stopped to talk to someone

Just seen an old mate of mine in the barbers.

Told him the sad news, we spent the next half hour nearly in tears , laughing at Nigel’s escapades. The barber said he wishes he could have met him.

They don’t make people like Nigel very often.😂😂😂😂

Like many on here, didn't really 'know' him, but knew who he was, and he always offered up a quick 'how's it going, mate?' by way of a friendly greeting. The fact that so many on here can remember the good and the outrageous is testament to his popularity.

Perhaps it's now the true test of Albion fandom of those of a certain vintage...
1. Did you buy Gull's Eye?
2. Were you at Hereford?
3. Did you see Erskine's knob?

RIP one of our own.

RIP Nige'. Always used to see him up & down the country back in the days when I go everywhere with the Albion.
Like others have said, didn't know him well, but always a nod or "alright mate" exchanged on our travels.
Condolences to family & friends. I'm sure Harty will do him proud.

That was one helluva day out. Transport for the day King of The Road Coaches.
I sorted that coach out and it started as a Montague pub coach but that died and we got The Clifton on . I went in both pubs. The rest is history if you were there
We must know each other.
That day WD pissed on one of Ian Harts mates, A young NL but Ian said it’s ok, it means he likes you,

Late to this news, but very sad to hear of his passing. Like many I didn't know him personally but knew who he was.
RIP Nigel - you had so many friends and supporters.
His name is on the wall of true Albion legends.
