no one? The NSC font of knowledge has finally run dry?

should we make up a new word to fill this obvious gap in the English language? is this a good idea?

The Italians use the same word - nipote - for both nephews and nieces.

It's the word that gives us nepotism in English.

Allowing for the switch from i to e in moving from Italian to English, I'd go for nepote as the word you're looking for.

But it's not in my dictionary.

I don't know what to get my NEPOTES for Christmas. I like it.
