Nicolas misses Leeds game...

I never knew that Cyprus was a world centre of excellence for the treatment of ankle disorders.

Unless the lad is one of those people who only get better when they've had a plate of grandma's moussaka.

That is a BIG problem if Nicolas is missing for Saturday. I thought Chippy looked well off the pace on Tuesday - his passing was poor and the match just seemed to pass him by completely. I'm sure McGhee only had him on the bench with a view to a run-out for the last 15 minutes or so, but unfortunately Nicolas's injury forced his hand. He looked nowhere near fit to me.

El-Abd was back on the bench the other night. If by Saturday Chippy is still struggling, perhaps El-Abd could be put back in at right-back, freeing up Paul Reid to slot back into midfield with Charlie.

Either push Reid up or hope Chippy's a bit fitter - maybe that run-out will have helped. Nicolas is crucial to our chances, we need him back ASAP.

First time I've had a good look at the Leeds line up - Deane and Joachim on the bench alone is enough to get me thinking a draw would be a fantastic result. Can't see us scoring more than once and can't see us keeping a clean sheet with no Cullip and an inferior midfield.:( My prediction: 3-0 to us :lolol:

Let's hope Clarke Carlisle tries to lump Leon again - but that the referee sees it this time.

I'm hoping my throat will recover in time to scream abuse at the w*nker again on Saturday.

Ahem.

The team still needs strengthening and we have money to spend now from the Fowler deal ( £500,000 recived this week ) and the Casino money ( 5 million up front + a big sum in the future 10 mill+ )

Our debt is down from 109 million to 30 million :clap2:

Carlisle/Butler/Sullivan have been superb for us all season and have won us alot of points along with Danny Pugh.

Doesn't make Carlisle any less of a wanker, though!

Play Hammond and Oatway in midfield if Carpenter is not fit.

Currie on one wing and Piercy on the other.

Piercy is no where near fit enough for the first team let alone against Leeds. Rather see Jones given a chance or Jarret from the start but I expect us to line up defensively with Oatway, Hammond, Carpenter and Currie as the one attacking outlet.
