I work with a bloke who is known as "Mothballs" on account that he likes to hide in the bedroom wardrobe and watch while his Mrs gets smashed by strangers she's picked up down the pub.

Got any funny one's?

I used to work with a bloke that was known as Bliss. He thought it was because he was always cheerful.

A mate of mine worked with a guy who was known as BFG. He thought it stood for Big Friendly Giant, whereas it was actually Black Forrest Gump.

We met a couple of guys at a festival in Mid Wales, one of whom was introduced to us as "Doon". When we commented that it was an unusual name we were told it was short for Dounreay. He had five kids and was therefore a fast breeder.

At school I used to play a lot of Subbuteo
(a table football game)
and they used to call me Sub
and it was good to have a nickname
until they told me it stood for sub-standard.
