Nicholas Forster to Orient

Andy Hessenthaler did ok for Gillingham.

And there's the rub......players who go on to become player/manager are usually playing for that particular club at the time.

Forster managing Orient simply isn't going to happen. Not this season anyway.

How could he play for Orient this season?

He is contracted to us and on loan at Charlton. Also the loan window has now shut so it would be impossible for him to play for Orient this season.

I don't know the rules about player/managers outside the transfer window, but I'd say that Orient would tick a lot of the boxes for Forster.

I can see it. he has a touch of the steve claridge, lower division english footballer, thinks he knows something about football, a fully paid up member of the "players rights" brigade and thinks you have to have played to know something about it (just don't tell Jose, Wenger and Fergie eh!). Would be great fun to see him negotiate contracts and deal with idiots who chuck their toys out of their pram and try to cause a players revolt. Don't Orient have enough problems?

Maybe you should word your thread titles better in future? Before opening this it sounded like he WAS the O's manager. Least you got the BHA connection right.
