Falmer is UN-important at the moment.

We NEED a new manager.

Which is the reason you are still called Junior.

Junior, you are worse than 1066.

Whats up with the stand on the left having a twenty foot wall at the back of the second tier?

Isn't that part of the Exhibition Centre that's on that side of the ground?

must admit i quite like that bit, as it makes it different from other oval shaped soulless pits.
i like the ricoh and if it had been full like it was (according to my bro) against middlesbro then i would imagine it would be a cracking atmosphere. the potential is there for it to be a very intimidating place. unfortunatley brighton fans never really got going as a singing force and it was only a disapointing turnout of 20000 this being because coventry have a midweek replay against boro to look forward to.

it also has hotel and casino built into it. not sure if thats the part of the ground where these things are positioned though.

The arena looked nice but you can tell it has been rushed into service quickly with some things needed to be finished off.
Snowy are you sure about the rating you gave to Carole?
He was at fault for both goals where he never gave any help to the erspective fullbacks in defending the crosses that eventually got in the box!!!!

I get a little depressed, and I feel another little part of me dies when I go to these new places.

I feel like we will forever be at the back of the queue when it comes to doling out new stadiums, and the sole reason has nothing at all to do with football directly. I want to stamp my foot on the ground and scream 'why can't we have one of these?'

I see these new grounds and the first thing that comes into my head is 'Anne de Vecchi and her fascist stormtroopers'. I get speechless with rage at their belligerence and intolerance towards modern culture. My contempt for Lewes District Council is absolute, I hate them as much I hate David Bellotti. And I am not one for hating anyone or anything else. How dare they try and ruin us. How dare they try and take away the one thing which unites a community in a way they can't or won't understand. How dare they try and take football away from us.

Nice ground, by the way, but I've seen nicer new ones. :)

Oh, and junior, how about contributing a few hundred posts of silence for the next few weeks.

nice modern stadium, stood at the back but disappointed with our vocal support considering there was 1600 Albion. The home retards that started fighting amongst themselves looks like it will cost their club £30k as the OB had to sort it out within the stadium - ha ha ha. Not happy after the match as the footy special bus was held up by fans arguing the toss over the fare. The £3 fare is a return ticket, which we used both ways but some people didn't understand it was on contract hire so the advertised maximum fares wouldn't apply and they had to cough up £3. Next time if you go to the Ricoh and only want to use a bus from the ground into the city centre on the way home walk over the road to Tesco and get a normal bus from there for £1.10. As we were held up for a good ten minutes it meant the Macdonalds in the shopping centre had just closed and I had to fork out twice as much at Burger King. Got back to Grimsby at 23.15 wondering if Falmer will be like the Ricoh only with better acoustics or will it matter if the crowd are like that at Coventry , they only sing when they're winning.

My view is that Hammond didn't pick up Wise as he came into the box so he got a free header for the first and Lynch gave the ball away for the second and then ambled back after the ball giving Whing an easy run towards our area which led to Wise's second. I couldn't see that you could fault Carole for either goal but you could definitely see that he was our most creative attacker, especailly in the first half.

I'm starting to get a bit miffed with all this finger pointing stuff - rarely does the blame lie with a single player - I urge you to look at the bigger picture (which is difficult without full video analysis) but I would expect this to be the regular Monday morning be-brief with management, coaching staff and players (what we call lessons learned in IT).

For the first goal, Seb was trying to do the job of a full back (El Abd) in closing and blocking a cross from the wing - simple task - don't let the ball get past you, jocky and force the attacker to pass backwards - Seb is a quality winger, but defensively he is transparent and as a result the cross came over right into our danger area (across the 6-yard box) - full marks to Wise who timed his run to perfection and was half a stride ahead of Hammond when he headed the ball in.

BLAME ? (I hate doing this)
a) bad marking from Hammond alowing Wise to steal a yard and get goal-side
b) poor defending from Carole - should have prevented the cross
c) El Abd should have been where Carole was - sort it out between you fellas

For the 2nd (I've written this elsewhere already so I'll just summarise:
a) Hammond unable to release ball in midfield (lack of movement up front - maybe?)
b) left-midfield AWOL (both Seb & Fruity playing on right side !!)
c) Lynch pushes forward to fill empty left-midfield space
d) lost posession (can't recall if this was Lynch?)
e) 2 attackers made easy work of getting past Lynch (outnumbered - don't blame Lynch for that)
f) with a free run into our pen-area - Centre Back SHOULD have come out to close down / challange ("go ball" as we used to shout in my playing days)
