Phil, with you being very much the football shirt coinoisseur in these parts, which shirt (not necessarily an Albion one) would you consider to be your all time favourite ?

What's the Batman shirt?

You really should remember that one Al, we've done our best to forget.

Also, there was this one

Which I quite like(d)

I think my favourite Albion away shirt is the blue and black stripes of 1995 (I know it was not used officially) as for home Albion kits, the one we wore at the Millennium Stadium. Of course, as an Albion fan I do like most of them, a lot.

Non Albion, I love the Reyados de Monterry shirt from 2006

and the England '80-'82 shirt

Both of which adorn my collection.

The trouble is, now that I have individually validated nearly 20K odd shirts on my site there are so many that look great, it is difficult to choose an all time favourite. That and with a collection of several hundred shirts, I am struggling to point at one and say "that's the one".

That England one if lovely, probably my favourite England one ever.

What did you think of the Malaga shirt on the last page, I like it, think you lot would like to have something similar.

Hmmm...not sure I share your tastes there Phil. The Bimbo one, although it has an amusing sponsor, looks like a bit of a mess. And I never really took to that England 82 one. I think my all-time fave England shirt would be the one from 1990

Simple design, nothing fancy. Just classy.

I'm not sure how I would develop a new Brighton kit, I think that I wouldn't go for a collar, but I would otherwise try to keep it simple. The only collared shirt I have ever liked is the current England home shirt.

Anyway, given that Liverpool, Norwich, Portsmouth and Cheltenham have already revealed kits for next year and that some members have already seen the shirt, I really hope we can see the new effort before the end of the season. We could even wear it on the last day of the current campaign.

I RUDDY love that I do

I used to have a shop, right.

I could get hold of the people who made the Admiral cricket gear, and buy it in if I wanted. But someone else had the rights for Admiral football top, especially that top, and they were basically non-contactible. Whoever has or had the licence to re-make that shirt would have cleaned up by now - by for whatever reason won't re-produced it.

I mean, properly minted.
