Hodgson has picked the best players, the tactics have been OK and he's also managed to handle the press and keep a lid on all the usual media bollocks you get with England. It's just a shame he doesn't have top players that make a difference at the highest level.

I hope he stays on. He's selected the likes of Stones, Shaw, Phil Jones and Barkley and I'm sure he'll bring them through over the next two years. You can see that this tournament was always a learning exercise with more chance of success in Euro 16.
