TB isn’t an idiot. No inferior candidate is going to pilot his ship. Keep the faith.
Been there done that once, unlikely to be repeated

Possibly. But Hyppia was hung out to dry by his assistant who wouldn't come if I remember rightly. No idea who it was.

I have read some calling for Oscar Garcia to return.
Nice chap but not for me thanks. I know I’m probably in a minority, and I know he scraped us into the play offs, but I could barely stand his slow and turgid brand of football.
Not sure Russell Martin would come anyway - would be a clash of interest re academies etc and I’ve heard there is no love lost between him and the club (I don’t know the reasons why, other than not being offered a pro contract by us maybe )

Is Bo Svennson today's top tip?
In the Knutsen, Gallardo, Svensson battle what is the prefered order?
Nathan Jones has no right to be on that list either, let alone third on it. The list just exemplifies the shortage of genuine candidates and how irreplaceable Potter was. I just hope the players stick together and see us through what will be a difficult time.
Sascha Lewandowski, and tbh with way things turned out if was probably best he didn’t join us. He hung himself in 2016 after being arrested by German police for Child abuse.
He is not an idiot but he's not infallible. Sami Hypia was a mistake. I would say hes has got 5 out of 6 correct though!!
Sammy Lee?
Exactly. Look at the flack we got for the CH sacking and the 'racism' accusations. Don't hear anything from those pundits now saying how bad it was to sack him. Though I was shocked at the time.
As an aside, I can't remember how long it took us to appoint Potter, but it was a couple of weeks from memory. Now he jumps ship in less than 24 hours?
I’d go;
Gallardo first, although unlikely he’ll come
.
That's the understatement of the year. It's about as likely as Croydon being named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
I mentioned it earlier but I do find it incredible there are no firm rumours as to who the Albion have in their sights. Within an hour of Tuchel getting the boot, the papers were full of Potter but there's not a dicky bird coming out of the club. I know Naylor's done a piece but it's all speculation
Not only that, no-one in the mainstream media has even bothered to talk about it....it's all about ChelseaThat's the understatement of the year. It's about as likely as Croydon being named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

You're suggesting that managers are pretty much equal and it's down the the players. I disagree (obviously not discounting the importance of the players). All managers live and die by the players at their disposal, if we didn’t have Caceido would Potter still be here? Probably.
Would Thomas Frank be mentioned if he didn’t have Ivan Toney winning games for him? Probably not.
'More expansive' - maybe. Football that Potter has us playing - no. Tactics are complicated, and managers aren't experts in all forms of all tactics. I would wager that Potter couldn't deliver Burnley's tactics as well as Dyche did, and I'm sure Dyche couldn't deliver anything like the tactics Potter has.I’m not suggesting Tony goes for Sean Dyce but if he did, do you think the ex Burnley man could play a more expansive game with better players than he has had before ?
