All local newspapers have the same standard of terrible reporting. I live in Southend and a few years ago some old de classified cold war papers came out that if ever Russia were to invade Britain, the Thames estuary would be the most likely place.
Cue the southend evening Echo to print a massive front page picture of some Russian soldiers marching in formation crudely cut out and glued over the top of a 1980's picture of southend high street, banner headline screaming something like THE RUSSIANS ARE INVADING
