How much money does the club receive for T.V rights, surley ANY ticket sold is then a bonus?

It's £30 for gods sake, hardly breaks the bank. Same price as 1/3 a tank of fuel or a meal out. Costs £10 to watch non league without the comfort of a nice stadium. Don't you think it's worth 3 times as much to watch 2 top class teams?

Well how nice it is to receive a big 'f*** YOU' from Paul Barber and Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. It's 2 weeks after Christmas, we've played Newcastle at The Amex already, kick off time is annoying and will surely reduce the amount of away fans, it's live on FREE TO AIR TV, and he still expects people to pay as much as £39 to watch the Brighton side who only a few days ago showed once again they are nothing but a bunch of bottle jobs when it comes to games that matter to the fans.

We're not fans anymore. We're customers.

Whats the point of getting promoted to the top flight then, we've already played Sunderland, Southampton, Reading, Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham at the Amex so if that's the attitude to this game why bother?

but these would be on the season ticket and not additional. The FA cup ain't all that. I bet both teams 'rest' players as well.

It's rubbish pricing

So what about those who buy on an occasional basis. Those are the prices they pay and what ST holders would pay without the discount they receive. - Its not like we have to pay game by game as a ST holder so always trying to find the cash every fortnight (or more frequently depending on fixtures)

What message does it send out to those fans already paying those prices for Championship matches at the Amex if they were then reduced for a glamour FA Cup game against a top flight side ?

There are NO £39 tickets available at any time as ALL WSL Centre seats are sold out to ST holders, the £39 figure is therefore an arbitrary one until a cup game comes along

The tickets are too expensive but that goes for the whole of football at the moment. We are lucky that we still have the Amex effect but attendances are declining at every club in the Championship and we will soon join that trend if the club aren't careful.

£32 + whatever the booking fee is for my seat in the WSU Central is overpriced to me. Rocking on for £70 (+beer & travel) for me and the wife isn't on at this time of year for a 3rd round match, possibly against a second rate Newcastle team, who have their premier status to look after. If that makes me a bad fan then so be it - I'll play golf and get home in time to watch it on the box.

I thought it was cheaper last January but was proved wrong in a thread yesterday.
It was a sell out when we played Newcastle, and it was on tv, albeit at the later time of 5pm.

Gonna be a binfest for the cheap tickets. Madness to buy your own seat in ESU or West Central.

And also makes life difficult for groups of STHs who want to relocate together.

To high prices, if I wasn't a season ticket holder, I would not pay them prices on a match by match basis. If they are going to charge these prices for this game then I would expect Gus to play a strong team. Pub for me.

I'd have thought with it being televised they would have thought of a reduced ticket price to get bums on seats.

I know it's a lot of money after Christmas but the club needs the money if we want the club to move forward and up we will have to pay more in the future.:cry:

There's no way i would pay £39 for this fixture, but atleast the club are allowing fans to move to a cheeper part of the ground if they so wish.

Also judgeing by the website when they go on general sale no one needs purchase history so the club will shift alot of tickets even if its just Premiership fans.

Just a thought though, if people are moaning that prices starting at £28 is a lot of money, what are they going to say when we reach the Premier League ??

Also, if those in the more expensive seats don't want to pay £37, just buy the cheaper £28 seats when they go on sale - simple.

Taking into account possible bad weather for travelling fans and our own fans who travel distances for The Amex games I think the clubs could have made a big mistake. I have decided that I well definitely not be going and neither will my brother who lives near Heathrow, but thats only 2.
