Problem is, if they are setting a field for singles, and they are not being taken, NZ are being given more opportunity at a batsman who needs boundaries or twos. Foakes is a capable batsman, but he forcing risk into his game. I'd rather let it flow, try to forage the strike, but trust Leach a bit more- because Foakes has to take more risks in his own game.Why? Commentator saying he took 1 run, but could have been 3 - but no it couldn't, it would have been 1 and then Leach facing more deliveries.
Leach and Anderson aren't good enough to survive this.
