Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island will take up a good chunk of a full day due to limited ferry times, you could incorporate this with an early start at Ground Zero but would be a very long day.

I'd skip the Empire State building if I were you and do the Rockerfeller instead, as you have a great view of Central Park / Empire State building and downtown Manhattan.
