Interesting.Why the Polish?

I worked with about five Polish children at my nursery about two years ago and, as part of my university coursework, I did some sheets with basic phrases in Polish and wrote them phonetically in English. Anyway, I started using them and got very interested in the language, and it snowballed from there.

Sell my flat, buy a house; changing jobs would be nice too so maybe I could actually spend a Christmas at home!
One step at a time though.

Are you sure about that, once you move north it's hard to afford to move back mate.

Cheap beer and houses are not everything.

Good luck though

My boyfriend of two years lives up there and we're both sick of a long-distance relationship. I can move straight into the apartment he currently lives in (in a converted manor house) and should be able to arrange a transfer at work to a location which would see my travel time and costs cut in half compared to the current ones.

All in all, I'll be better off financially, have a better work/life balance and have someone special to go home to every night. What's not to love?

Cool :) Should you encounter any problems in your quest to master polszczyzna, just let me know and I'll do my best to help.

My New Year's resolutions are:

1. delete my FB account (a collosal time-waster)
2. pass the DELI B2 exam (need it for my PhD)
3. be a better Catholic (remember about fasting on Fridays, daily prayer etc.)
4. write a light comedy in three acts (I already have the title)
5. whatever happens DON'T go to bed with Agnieszka (she's married too, and besides--see point 3).
