I have tried these as agwa bombs with red bull

Won't pretend it was pleasant but it did the job !

Take round the bottle of whatever vile liquid somebody gave you over the festive period. My wife's grandmother gave us a bottle of Black Tower. The height of sophistication at any late 70s party.
The vilest stuff to take would be the Tunisian spirit 'Boukha' which is fermented from figs. I still have half a bottle in my collection from 12 years back. It's marvellous stuff to rub on insect bites though, but not something that should be taken orally in my opinion.

Black Tower and it's ilk are pretty much the only wine I like
