Am I being a bit of a snowflake, or is the current Virgin Atlantic advert a little insensitive...

The link shows the full ad, but the abridged version they are currently showing on TV features the last section, from 50 seconds, where the plane flies close to the Statue of Liberty, before banking towards New York.

All a wee bit 9/11 in my mind.

When you watch the whole minute long ad it doesn’t seem a problem, the bit they are currently running is from around the 50 second mark, and doesn’t include the cheeky wink from the statue, but then shows the plane banking towards New York - just seemed insensitive to me...!

I’ll get my coat, it’s cold being a snowflake!

I've just flown to NYC on Virgin and it certainly wasn't anything like that!

Virgin used to be pretty decent but they have taken their eye off the ball in the last couple of years.

I've just flown to NYC on Virgin and it certainly wasn't anything like that!

Virgin used to be pretty decent but they have taken their eye off the ball in the last couple of years.

The new aircraft are pretty decent.

Just need to get rid of the older ones.

But I do agree.
