....or the season befores one

it was nice and had no crappy seagulls in the blue making it look like a kiddies kit

Couldn't make the game last night and the first time I saw the new stripes was on a young lad at the Marina when I took the kids down there on Monday (school hols and all that !).

Not mad keen, I must say. Don't like the gap at the bottom of the shirt (I saw the comments on here about it) and I still think the stripes look like the 'new' Coventry kit (as discussed last week).

Is it true that this was all as a result of a mix up with the manufacturers getting the wrong shade of blue on their Dulux colour chart?

If so, can't we get our 'proper' blue back and have the manufacturers replace at their own expense the ones we've sold so far?

Still, no worries I'm sure my avatar will get things straightened out and back on track soon.

In all the Coca-Cola advertising for the new Football League Championship the Albion's Coca-Cola logo is in the proper blue. Perhaps it should have been Coca-Cola that sent our shade of blue off to the supplier to make sure it was got right.

Turning up last night to watch Huddersfield Town play Plymouth Argyle was a but strange...The McAlpine Stadium is looking pretty shabby these days...

Albion & England forever.

.

Is that the story? I assumed the colour change had more to do with 20000 plus Albion fans wearing the traditional blue and white to Cardiff, meaning very few wouid bother with a new shirt this season.

Change the colour and, hey presto, there's a whole new market created.... or maybe I'm too cynical.

Don't like it though.

No, you are right. The club has to make money somehow.

In a pile of football shirts
why is everyone confused about this, this goes on at every football league club, every other year, They all change it around, at least the Albion have the decency to make a proper change not just put a white flash on the armpit and expect everyone to buy a new shirt that looks virtually identical to the last one.

It is what makes us money to enable us to pay players wages so as we have a chance of not getting relegated, it is a fact of football supporting life, it will not stop, get used to it.

Oh, and I quite like it anyway.

I think the stripes are too narrow. I think they should be a bit broader for a broad-minded city or narrow-minded town like Brighton. (see avatar)
