Everyone seems to be in agreement we need a new striker and a goalscorer, especially with Murray on his way(sooner the better).Question is who will it be??

Nathan Ellington-Not wanted at Watford.
Paul Dickov-O.K he is 36, but never gives less than 100%, warming bench at Leicster.
Billy Sharp-Not even on bench yesterday.
Lee Trundle-Not even on bench yesterday.

I don't agree. Give davies and hart a chance.

I agree. I was a bit bemused that Davies was no-where near the squad AGAIN yesterday.

Saying that though. If we do sell Murray, which hopefully will be soon after yesterday, I think we will need another striker.

Very simple answer to this problem TB and RS sit down with GM and talk. They should make an agreement between each other if he plays and scores goals for us they will agree to sell him to a northern club in January if one is interested. If he scores between 10 - 15 goals before then a Div 1 or championship side that is under achieving will come in for him. We do not need another striker at the moment if his problem can be either solved or put on hold for 4 months.

Even if Murray does go soonish, then I still think we will score goals through Forster, Davies, Dickinson, and Hart, PROVIDING WE SORT THE MIDFIELD OUT AND CREATE SOME CHANCES :tantrum:

is the problem that no-one has offered any money for murray - If they had I'm sure the club would ship him out as long as they recouped most of the money.

It's ridiculous to suggest that Murray isn't bothered. He wouldn't be of any interest to another club is he wasn't playing as well as he could and hence he'd be stuck here.

nobody will come in for him while he is jogging about and not scoring goals ..once that starts happening he might get his transfer

Yep that is the solution, if we do not sell him before sept 1st the deal is the asking price is reduced by 10K for everey goal. Give hime some incentive to play for us.

IMHO, he has showed that he isn't interested in playing for US anymore... which makes him a MORON...

... but the guy clearly hasn't got the sense to put a shift in to earn a contract elsewhere... he is a fcuking idiot...

BTW... I happen to know he has been told by the club (not naming names) in no uncertain terms that we are not going to give him away, but he clearly is too thick to get it...

Just keep him away from the rest of our squad, or his sh1t attitude will bring them down...

My sentiments exactly, keep him away from the rest of the team.We dont need his childish antics disrupting the squad, which it would clearly do.If he hasnt got the sence to see whats happening here, then he is an idiot. The only time we will see Murray in a few years time, is if whoever he is playing for is lucky enough to draw us in cup. Then he can come to Falmer, see what he missed out on and hopefully feel the prick he truely is.

Ellington was on trial at Blackburn, We have already confirmed we cannot afford either the wages or fee for Sharp and Trundle has hardly been great recently. That said nothing to say he cant find some of the form he had at swansea. Dickov to me wouldnt excite me to be brought in as a replacement for in my view our best striker.

Forster
Dickinson
Davies
Hart.

Plus we already have the best striker in League 1. I don't see why we need a new striker, even if we do lose the best player we've had here (permanently), I don't see why we need to prioritise getting a new striker in. Yesterday we had to play McLeod!!! We need a natural left winger in my opinion, and we need to get shot of El-Abd. And sign Kevin Amankwaah from Swindon to provide cover at right back.
