Means nothing - all sorts of people were odds on for the Newcastle job at various stages before Keegan got it. The same can be said for the Scotland job where McGhee and Souness and others were odds on at various times.

Just not a market to get involved in, for so many reasons. Volatile, unpredictable, rumour-led - you often get about three or four favourites in one day.

What finally stopped me getting involved was the time Howard Wilkinson and Steve Cotterill ended up getting the Sunderland job. I had backed Cotterill after getting a tip (in the face of plenty of opposition for the gig) and ended up not getting a payout because he was called 'coach'.

I would think that it will be Hoddle again but one supporter interviewd on TV last night suggested he would accept Adams back but not Hoddle.
