Bloody hell, i've been away two weeks and come back to a 'brand new' Albion...

But Hammond and Knight are our only scorers so far, ironic.

Anyway, all sounds pretty promising if you ask me!

this is typical of the tripe often served up on here. how can players be judged after 2 or 3 games?

I'm not judging anyone, I have an open mind, I'm just making a few guesses.

Just stop the bloody thread now:lolol:

I go on holiday for two weeks and all that lot come in. Of those above I only knew about CKR & Dodd.

Have you been away with Andrew and Sally, Pasty? He's not been at church recently and I wanted to ask him and his delightful daughter ever so *politely* how P***** were getting on.

As for players:

Henderson - not impressed, very slow yesterday with second goal, thought he should have come for Reading's second goal. Does the signing of the Frenchman mean the end of the Blayney deal?

McShane - excellent, especially against Reading, but thought he could have challenged harder with Crewe's second goal.

CKR - excellent prospect for the future, but under too much pressure to perform immediately. I think the last 20 minutes coming off the bench would be ideal for him, but the circumstances have forced McGhee to play him from the start.

Turienzo - jury very much out. From what I've seen so far, I've not been impressed, but that may be because he is not yet fit. He had one chance to shoot, but seemed to want to go round the defender and lost the chance. I can't quite see what he brings to the team. I would have preferred someone like Junior Agogo, but maybe Bristol Rovers were asking silly money.

Carole - good start, needs a few more games to get settled, but linked up well with Leon Knight, when you could tell the difference. Perhaps needs to run at defenders a little more.

French goalkeeper - not seen him, so I can't say anything.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
McShane - An absolutely brilliant edition to the team. Looks like he's been the heart of the defence for months, rather than 3 matches. Assured, strong, and he even looks good going up front as well. Mr McGhee needs to speak to Mr Ferguson and ask about a season-long loan, rather than the five months he has now!:clap2:

Carole - Again looked like he been in the team months rather than two minutes, excellent skills, linked well with Knight & Kazim-Richards, and they can form an excellent trio on the right.

Kazim-Richards - A rough diamond, just needs some final polishing, and he will be awesome in this division. Linked well with most of the team. Only caught offside once against Crewe, unlike the way Mr. Knight kept being caught last season, when playing up front.

The Argrentian - We'll have to wait and see :glare:

Some good football played on Saturday, we just need that killer touch to finish off the game, before the other team get a chance to come back into it at the death!

That new lad, Robinson, the one McGhee was forced to bring in from the non-league due to injuries in the squad, looks the best of the lot. Here's hoping we can get his loan from Aldershot extended for the rest of the season.

I have high hopes for all of them except Henderson who reminds me of Walton in that he plays as if his head will explode if he comes off his line. Doesn't boss the defence in front of him either. I was right in line with the penalty area and if he'd been quick enough to come off his line he could have reached the ball and averted the 2nd goal, but he had absolutely no chance with the 1st.

How can people be having a go at Turi, against Reading he was brining other people into the game and linking well and the shot at the end... Saturday we had started to be over run in midfield and the balls that were coming up to him were not the best. Looks like he scares defences tho just needs to start winning headers and get match fit both will come given time. Start him in the cup next week

All those that have made appearances have seemed to add depth to the squad, I still believe MM has got it right on all of these signings.
Specially the french keeper, if he turns out to be no good, then he goes back after his loan spell, if he is a success then we have already agreed a potential fee that I think can not be altered, so can't really lose on that deal!

Mcshane, just wish fergie didn't rate him and we could sign him up right now.

Worthing
Early days but:

Henderson: Not bowled over but he is only here until the return of MK.
Dodd: Will do a job for us.
McShane: Very impressed. I hope we can get him for the rest of the season.
Carole: Looked good for an hour. Harty must be sweating.
Turienzo: I quite like the look of him. Classic South American combination of nice touches and diving.
CKR: Looks promising, although I would like to see him come off the bench a few times to take advantage of tired defences.
