Watch this space.

Well, not THIS one - the one where spaces are watched. The one to do with pies and stuff.

THAT space.

Uh-huh.

Okay i shall be spacially alert. We need something with Chorizo in it and a hot sausage roll option

the vege pies are amazing, im not a moaner but they did run out before 15.00 in lower East stand

Bloody hell, you got there by 15:00 for a 19:45 kick-off, no wonder they hadn't run out, I'm surprised they had actually cooked them by then!???

The Kuipers Spicy Dutch Meatball Pie was one of the best pies I've had.

Haha thats very true, it must have been subconciously stuck in my head, it was about 19.20,thanks for pointing that out, anyway the moral is the same, they couldnt sell me a veggie pie at that time they had run out

strange. They sold me one around 9.40, about ten minutes after the final whistle

You are joking?? my little girl queued twice,in two different queues and both said "no vege pies" my boy had his usual Chicken and Bacon (or whatever it is) but two kiosks said no vege left in East Stand

Nothing seems to go particulalry well with a night game. Everyone rushing from work and wolfing down pies, car park always rammed a good 45 minutes after final whistle, perhaps not in the best mood after a hard day at work, etc.

All games should be 3pm, whether mid-week or weekend (even if it means a day off work).

There must be some sort of issue with altitude because all these comments only ever seem to refer to the WSU. In the North I have only once not got my pie of choice (a steak one at one of the first matches), and have never been given the wrong flavour pie.

Have never had a problem in the North once.

Occasionally they run out of Harvey's but even that hasn't happened for ages.

Is cause the North is where the best fans are and therefore we get the best service.

Simples.

I really hope they don't release any more pie choices. I think NSC will collapse under the weight of threads bemoaning the inevitable escalation of catering disasters.

Plus the odd comment about pie quality from irregular guests flying in from North Africa.

I love the Balti pies, always plenty in the ESU. We're well looked after up there.

Wot did you think about the 3 x 'Harveys'/real ale kegs being moved into 'no-mans-land' on friday, with only 3 x fellers trying to serve us hundreds? :drink:

Yeah that wasn't good. During the Barnsley game they had Harveys/Hophead/Harveys right next to each other just past the main kiosk at the North end of the ESU. Whistle went at half time and I walked straight to it and got a beer immediately.

This week it was one guy trying to serve Harveys/Hophead and spent more time trying to get the right change out of his bum bag! Not his fault he was doing his best and was going as fast as he could.

Not sure why they changed this knowing it was going to be a bigger crowd.

10 minutes before half time they should just pour pints out and have them lined up ready to go with one guy giving each beer and extra pump just to give it a head and another guy taking the money.

If only it were that simple.

Why isn't it?

They manage it at plenty of other events, cricket at the Oval being one of them. Pre poured pints two thirds full then just one pump to give it a head and its done. Same at the NFL Tailgate at Wembley. Rows of beer ready to go, I've been 20 deep in the beer queue there and within a couple of minutes I'm at the front getting my pint.

It's extremely simple.

Halftime is only 15 minutes but I like others are spending longer just queuing for one pint.
