[Football] New Kits Thread - Season 22/23

I'm still holding out hope that it's an elaborate prank by the club.

Sometimes a team will play their final game in the following years kit. Maybe we could do that from September?


Still, it's only a season. And it's only a kit. But it is remarkably shit.

Yeah, last night I was absolutely gobsmacked by just how bad it was. I don’t understand why the club find blue and white stripes so hard to achieve, but it is just a kit, and it is just for a season.

It’s not like anyone’s going to withdraw support for the team based on an awful kit, and there’ll be another along next year. Let’s hope that by then the sales figures for this years kit have helped remind the powers that be that Brighton play in blue and white stripes.

I'll reserve full judgement until I see it in action as a full kit but right now the new shirt is looking like one of our worst.

That yellow line is certainly going to going to nicely contour the Harvey's hump of any mature fan brave enough to wear Nike's latest one-season wonder.

Personally, I'm not sure that's much of an improvement. Those sleves look hideous to me and ruin the whole thing.

Can we all just club together and spend a few hundred quid on some sets of the Stanno "Brighton" shirts (yep, thats the actual product name), and have them sent to the Amex in time for the first game of the season?

Agree. Where does the yellow come from. We're blue and white. What's so difficult about that? Hope the club has its worst shirt sales ever. Stop messing with our colours!!

Must have been authorised by Bloom and Barber. Were they drunk at the time? I can think of no other explanation, unless Bloom had a bet on with someone.

Can anyone do a mock up without the sponsor panel? I simply can not see beyond the "H" , my brain simply can not see it as stripes, just a blue front with a bloody big H on it, especially as the stripes dont go to the top of the shirt

They made a thing last season about adding blue and white stripes to the charter or some such- and i just dont see stripes with this, without the panel it may look ok-ish, maybe thats what the club were shown and agreed before the sponsor panel was added

it would be a very brighton thing to do if they finally order a million shirts in all sizes and then have a tiny fraction of the number sold, thus vaidating the previous policy of under ordering so as not to be left with loads of unsold shirts-

i can see all the kids with cardboard signs saying "please do NOT give me your shirt"

It is... and I say that as a Swede. Not easy to get it right... especially if you also need white in the mix.

That is what I was hoping for based on what I’ve known for a month or so, I was VERY concerned by the yellow stripe down the middle and yet, I NEVER imagined it would be as bad as what has been revealed!! That is actually very nice. Real shame!
