In a pile of football shirts
For the detail junkies out there, here you go. I note it is labelled as a replica shirt, I wonder if the players shirts are made to a different specification, as per Nike Code 7 or Adidas Formotion.

All this 'T-I Energy' and 'Nanotechnology' bollox on the shirt but surely it's just a bog standard man-made fibre that it going to have anyone doing even a brisk walk in it on a moderately warm day sweating like a P-I-G pig, let alone someone running around a football pitch for 90 minutes in one.

I think you might be suprised to learn that is not the case then.

I generally find these 'new' technologies in shirts are generally getting better, especially with base layers. I tend to play rugby in nike base layer tops, and they really do work. I also play 6-a-side in the old navy and yellow ITS top, and it isn't that bad at all.

Gramatically correct, because it is the possesive pronoun, i.e. the shirt of the season 2011 - 2012.

That is to say, it will NOT be used for 2012 -2013. Otherwise the apostrophe would be absent.

You should read it as 2011 - 2012 season's shirt.

I beg to differ. I think it's quite obviously meant to say it is issued for the 2011/12 season (singular) so there should be no "s", let alone an apostrophe.

"Season's 2011/12" makes no sense whatsoever.

Has anyone got a pic of the new shirt with the football league numbering and lettering on it?
That Donatello logo seems to be printed where the name would usually be so i'm wondering if the name will be on the big box on the back too? :moo:

I thought that, just measured my shirt and compared it to a match shirt from last season. On last seasons shirt the numbers are 9", the letters are 2.5". The box on the back of the green and white shirt is 13.5" so it is going to be tight. No idea how Mackail-Smith is going to fit on there unless he has a single digit number. Then again, I am in the camp that believes the club, and Errea know what they are doing, so I expect it to be just fine.

Right, this is done to scale, so there you go, it fits height wise, but Mackail-Smith may have to have his name on an arc.

Yes it does. The shirt belongs to the one season. Hence the apostrophe. It is the shirt of the season 2011/2012, i.e. the season's shirt 2011/2012

This is NOT a mistake.

Stop criticising the club. They know what they're doing. This isn't Chrystal Palace
