loking good. Only thought how nice it would have been to have named something so high profile after Dick Knight rather than a bar in North stand
Quite. I’m sure there’s a reason for the downgrade.

Anyway, this fancy new pub looks nice enough. But, pretty please football club - slightly more relevantly to most people’s match day than a new Wetherspoons-alike - now also do something about the buses and trains as well so fans young and old don’t have to stand queueing in the rain and cold for an hour. Personally I’d think they’d prioritise that if they knew/cared how bad the transport is, over adding more beer taps.

as has been said many many times, the Club have very little(if any) control over how many trains run, how long they are, how the station is developed etc
Would we all like a 12 carriage train each way every 10 mins after a match, with nice heated covered waiting areas? yes of course, but that is completely out of the clubs ability to do anything about
What they can do is try and improve the fans areas before and after the match, provide better facilities throughout and I think they are doing just that

The club deserve a lot of credit for this. They have seen the issues surrounding public transport and that anything that helps stagger the getaway and arrival is a good move. The Terrace looks really impressive and quite ground-breaking to me, and I bet we see other clubs copy this idea. The moving of Dicks Bar into there is also very welcome as the last one was little more than an airport lounge. I can't wait to try it out.

Yes yes yes, I get it, a monorail is off the cards for now, but there's definitely space for a TRAVELATOR down to the westbound platform.

Of course there will be teething issues, but we all must move with the times.*

Dick’s bar isn’t going in The Terrace. A bar within the refurbished north stand concourse will be renamed as Dick’s bar.

Infrastructure is impressive but sadly the experience will doubtless be delivered by ranks of wide-eyed witless morons and the only people who will give less of a f*** than them will be their supervisors.

Expecting the worst. Hoping for the best.

Dicks Bar will now be an area on the North stand concourse. Poor old Dick isn’t moving into the terrace.

A large London casino often frequented by TB named their outside bar/restaurant area the terrace 🤔

I’m sure that the club are well aware of the transport issues but unfortunately they are reliant on the transport providers actually doing that - providing sufficient buses and trains on match days to accommodate 30,000 passengers pre and post match. It would be interesting to know the content of communication between the club and, say, Southern as to why there is such an on-going cock up whenever a fixture takes place - particularly for midweek evening games. Maybe it would be no bad thing for the club to publish the reasons given so that us long suffering fans are made aware as to why to why we have to queue for an eternity in the pissing rain for a train to turn up.

Doubt the club could improve on the insights provided on here by @jackalbion - which invariably come down to lack of rolling stock

If we're talking about the roof to the queue, its because no one will take responsibility one whos land it is, its not the clubs, and its not Network Rail, so I don't know whos it is probably the council, or the highways agency. Otherwise Network Rail are taking action after the MP's inquiry, but I'm afraid to say all the solutions are not going to be quick, from a guess.

I'm not sure I knew the name - "The Terrace"...

OK. So many questions. First, was that written by AI because it certainly looks like it?

Secondly, what?

Thirdly, how would one drink from a 2D cup?

Fourthly, when did SSN rehire Jim "Partridge" White and Kirsty "GBeebies drink driving" Gallacher?

Yes I know - just venting my spleen as to why after nearly 14 years this problem still hasn’t been resolved.
