[Brighton] New Churchill Square vaccination centre opens today....and closes due to protesters

They aren’t anti vax protesters, they are just the usual fash bellends who’ve jumped on the latest bandwagon after guarding racist statues

The saddest thing is that is some of these people did some real research (as they keep telling us sheeple to do) they'd find their theory conspiracy theories debunked in minutes.

they have done their own research it's just they researched stuff by the bloke who played Deuce Bigelow, Male Gigolo.

Trump and religion. A lot of the anti-vaxxers are evangelical Christians who believe the lord will protect them without the need for a jab. They remind me of the snake handlers who deliberately handle venomous snakes with the same belief.

This surprises me, I'd never have associated religious zealots with attempting to force their beliefs on everyone else against our will.

They obviously are anti vax protesters

You and others on this thread are doing a lot of conflating of these protests with other actions you disagree with.

Presumably because in this instance there is so much recognition that the people carrying this out are barking mad, and you hope to waft as much of the antivax stink onto another area you feel strongly about.

Very well put. Might I add that these people are actually Palace fans.

Yes it’s great they are making all the causes beloved of fascist bellends look bad. Feel sorry for the poor kids intimidated out of the Churchill Square vax centre by these thugs though

This is nonsense. The lads guarding the Churchill statue were Millwall fans, who knows what their politics are but I would bet everything I own that they wouldn't bother going to brighton on a weekday to have a go at a vaccine centre.

The anti vaxxers are just conspiracy nuts, it's absolutely nothing to do with left or right politics. Nobby had already called it right IMHO

Just Millwall supporters? You know that’s among the most fascist penetrated group of supporters around, right? Do you think the Football Lads Alliance just popped up one day with some good blokes having a chat in the pub? It’s a specific project of the organised far right

I think you’ll find that in America they do. Anyway, what does it matter ? If you have some actual information about their other activities that would certainly be interesting. If you just want to bolster some other argument you have had about statues then it isn’t.

There are numerous articles detailing the links between anti vaxxers and the Fascist groups, easy to find Google is your friend

Not saying there isn't any crossover what so ever but I don't recall Piers Corbyn guarding statues or Tommy Robinson having a view on vaccines.

The working classes, even if they do have some right wing views, tend to be very protective of our public institutions which extends to the NHS. Your average hooligan wouldn't be seen dead near a anti-vaxx demo.

Anti vaxxers are a good demonstration of horse shoe theory. A lot of them could safely be described as right wing but they are joined by some on the left who have decided vaccinations are bad and see them as a conspiracy to control people.

Whilst I have no idea wether he was there or not, would you describe Piers Corbyn as a facist?

I’d call him a crank who has teamed up with fascists, he’s not in any way connected with left politics and hasn’t been for many years despite who he is related to

Here’s an article about anti vaxxers that details Tommy Robinson supporters on its first par. Really fascinated that this appears a shock to some on here https://www.economist.com/britain/2021/07/03/the-anti-lockdown-movement-is-still-going-strong

I think you should actually read that link. It discusses anti vaxxers using the same social media platforms as far right groups. It also explicitly says they are not one and the same thing. Take a look at this link;

There are plenty of others on that Google thing you mentioned discussing left and right joining forces across Europe to oppose lockdowns and vaccines. Sorry to break it to you but these are libertarians of the left and right.
