[Brighton] New Churchill Square vaccination centre opens today....and closes due to protesters

I think many of us can see it’s you talking bollox, another thread that was going well until you turned up to derail it. :dunce:

Well sorry you don’t like my posts but thanks for not criticising my heritage, small mercies. The link between anti vaxx protests and the Far Right is clear and proven (just type “anti-vax” and “Far Right” into Google and you will see endless reports and evidence). It’s really not controversial and actually shouldn’t occasion a lot of debate

You’re obviously not bothered by the racist posts immediately preceding yours? Of course not, those grudges won’t axe grind themselves

Genuine question LI, are you ok? I’ve jousted with you for years on here but you seem somewhat different in this current discussion.

Why would someone use the name London Irish and then act in a way that suggests they are trying to make the Irish look bad! What kind of scum does that?

12 posts in the 10 days you've actually been a member of NSC, all political.

I can't imagine whose 3rd, 4th, 5th etc account you are but I bet they're a stupid c*** :wanker:

Or maybe I could take a guess :lolol:

My experience too. Though it's completely counter intuitive to think of hippies using violence. Rather than hippy, maybe there's a better word to describe the subculture, not sure what though

Anarchist.

My reply was in response to the post below.
The protesters in Brighton Churchill Sq are nothing like the people guarding statues, I have seen no far right or racist posts on the Twitter account of the clown with the beard mentioned earlier in the thread.

You can see the photos and videos of the Brighton protesters not your usual far right hooligans :)

They aren’t anti vax protesters, they are just the usual fash bellends who’ve jumped on the latest bandwagon after guarding racist statues

92.5% of the population is white, so they’d dominate any non-race event.

Left/liberal leaning Brighton and Hove was the capital of those following the work of disgraced Dr Andrew Wakefield. ‘Well read’ parents not wanting their babies to get autism. This emerged with relatively high instances of the diseases in the years that followed. This time Green Party and Labour Party supporting parents I know and know of in the Five Ways and Elm Grove/Southover areas, almost overnight became Covid deniers then anti vaxers.

I was surprised. Where’s all this come from? Facebook and Twatter spreading the lies. Incredibly people have taken in the full caboodle - 5G masts, Rooney/Clinton/Clooney evil, microbots.

In March 2020 I’d have agreed with you. Then I discovered an uncomfortable reality.

Packaging up every subject matter as “those right wingers” is lazy and inaccurate.

Supporting parents? Those are just ordinary voters though not organised political activists? You can’t see the critical difference? Organised Far Right groups are flooding social media with anti vaxx propaganda and its percolating wider and they have a plan of moving into that confusion and making recruits. I genuinely don’t see any such phenomena on the left (just detached ex leftists like P Corbyn and Creffield). Those two individuals aren’t going into anti vaxx demos and recruiting on behalf of any known left progressive groups. If you know any, please name them and I’ll take a considered look, as if they exist I would want to be first in line to give tjem a kick. Both Labour and the Greens and their constituent groups regard anti vax protests with total horror and contempt. It should be a concern of anyone with either left, centrist or even moderate conservative politics that the Far Right are so active in anti vaxx protests

There’s another guy on here with an obsession about my Irish parents, not a wild guess it’s probably him

I drove out of Canterbury this afternoon and noticed a banner hanging under a bridge over the A20. I couldn't read the whole banner but I did clearly read 'Leave our kids alone'. I cannot know for sure whether this is an anti vaccine banner, but I can't think what else it might be? An anti school protest? Hmmm....

Just read up about Kate Shemirani, her links to 'SUN' and Mark Steele. I note about Steele "In 2019, he was photographed with a member of the English Defence League, a far-right, Islamophobic organization in the United Kingdom".

Shemirani is a raving anti semite, racist critic of the US Democrats.....look her up on Wikipedia.

I see where we are going here.

The thing is that being far right isn't the prevailing 'philosophy' among anti vaxxers so your banging on about it seems like misplaced axe grinding, and it is always dangerous to grind a missplaced axe. Likewise socialism is not the prevailing philosophy among antisemites, even though the likes of Corbyn and indeed my own union are obsessed with Israel, while extremely accomodating towards folk of a muslim/Arab heritage who are obsessed with boycotting Israel. I'm a labour party member and I don't support these wankers. Likewise, the anti vaxxers may include some who have consorted with right wing loonies (as I mentioned above), but the anti vaxxer movement is primarily a loony movement rather than a nazi movement.

My experience too (don't know many anti-vaxxers mind) but they are the types that like crystals/feng shui/dream catchers/homeopathy etc. All that anti-science bollocks.

You are not far wrong.
I am off to London this weekend for a family gathering, on Mrs Choppers side, first time for over 2 years due to Covid.
My sister in law is going, I love her to bits, she is a beautiful, kind hearted, generous and caring woman.
But she is weird, for a living she gives Thai massages and Indian head rubs and stuff, she called yesterday upset because a client has dropped her due to no jabs, she did not get it. She is very fussy about what she eats because certain foods give you all sorts of health issues and worse of all she lectures everyone whether they want to know or not.
She even said there is a cure for cancer, its all about what you eat and alternative medicines etc.
Found out yesterday, and it came as no surprise, that she is an anti vaccine odd ball, so assume her husband is too and her 16 year old son, both are also going.
I will refuse to get near her and Mrs Chopper is vulnerable, even though double jabbed, due to very bad asthma.
I will and so will the wife, distance ourselves from her but it will upset her when we do and if the dreaded combination of too much vino and her lectures combine to cause the perfect storm I will call her out.
There may be trouble ahead.
78 million double jabbed, 88 million single jabbed, infection rates rising, kids are super spreaders, yet I have heard of no serious side effects or deaths from the vaccine so far, how much more evidence to these idiots need.
Selfish, dangerous look at me cretins, sister in law or not she is one silly cow.

You know, you really are ignorant. You call yourself London Irish, and play the idiot. Living up to racist stereotypes is scummy. How we wish your parents had done a better job of raising you.

Can you really not do better than this? Are you so trapped in how you were raised you have to be scum?

I am done with you. I do not tolerate lying *****.

Has somebody shown you around the Bear Pit yet? I think you’d like it.

An acquaintance recently posted on social media that the vaccine is poisonous and anyone that is double jabbed dies after 3 months. When I pointed out the over 70s were all double jabbed by Easter and they're mainly still about he blocked me. Irony is he does more gear than anyone I know and will happily snort any white powder going, no matter how stepped on it is.

*EDIT*

Actually that reminds me of the other big anti-vax group I know (or know of): stoners. The more stoned they are, the more anti-vax they are. Skunk has got a lot to answer for.

Seriously mate, cry off. Don't go. Nip outside and let your own tyres down if necessary.

A couple of folk in my circle have had to drop a close pal or even a relative for Covidiocy. Accomodating well-meaning fools can be acceptable but not when it risks life.
