Anyone brought any new cds lately?

I picked up 3 yesterday, feeling in dance music mode and went for:

Dizzee Rascal - Boy in Da Corner - what a load of absolute bollox, how this ever got nominated for a mercury I will never know. Shit rapping, very baasic beats and sounds like it was made by an 18 year old, oh it was! Going straight back and getting swapped for the new Super Furries!

All Back to Mine - Underworld - Superb is all I can say, real eclectiv mix of soul, Hip Hop, Oldskool rave, and ska. Played it 4 times already and will definately be in the player for a while.

FabricLive - Bent - Another absolute winner. Lots of electro, 80sy influnced stuff to start hings rolling before steaming into lush vocal laidback but funky as hell groovyness.

Also picked up the Led Zeppelin How the west was won live cd set last week and have played it to hell. The acoustic stuff on there is simply   :smokin:

Can I make a request that this thread doesn't get hijacked by members of the Chili Peppers Appreciation/Hate societies?

This thread is going nowhere without Dwayne's enlightening contributions on underground, overground (Wombling free) south-east coast hip-hop and, of course, guitar rock production techniques. Grade 12, you know?

Wozza, Ive heard James Zabiela play out a few times and have to say, although techniaclly excellent he hasnt lived up to the hype for me and Ive found it all a bit dull. I was hoping for more breaks than he played but found it all to progressive, which is a sound Ive really gone off of.

Chapmans, maybe Ill give the Dizzee cd another chance, I really like Fix up Look Sharp but the rest of it was painful.

I got the Kings of Leon cd when it came out and it is very very good, expecially considering they are all young and its their debut.

Newbury, Berkshire.
I'm waiting for the new Deep Purple Album to come out.

It's called......... Banana's !

On the way back from Barnet I decided to replace all my Steve Morse casettes with CD's.

I was thinking about the Kraftwerk Album but, as I've got the CD single, it's not urgent.

Zefarelly, on the beach has been released on cd recently and is the dogs undercarriage. Also rereleased Hawks and Doves, American Stars and Bars and Reactor.

I'm listening to a ska comp someone in the office just bought, very good it is too

In the car on the multi changer:

Thrills
Janes Addiction
Grandaddy
Kings of Leon
The Darkness
and the aforementioned On the Beach.

Set to multidisk random and with the air con on I had to be crowbarred out of there this morning.
