The problem facing the club now must be the massive disparity between supply and demand for this - we have thousands and thousands of eager young fans and most would, I suspect, want to be a mascot, which means most would never get a chance to do it.
However, the obvious disparity in the new setup is 8 places for sale to go onto the pitch with 11 players. This makes me wonder if there will still be the opportunity to be 'drawn from the hat' (and, if so, 3 places is more than was the case before) whilst those who are able can now guarantee a spot. If that's the case, it's not bad, is it?
Also - full kit must be c£60, 3 lower West seats is c£120 and 3 meals is c£20, so you're not paying much of a premium for the experience.
If there are three Gully's Gang spaces I am happy. Also I guess if the spaces aren't filled by Friday lunchtime they could offer the rest to random Gully Gang members? My son was called in as a late replacement for his mascot experience which slightly added to the frill (for me at least!)
