New Albion mascot scheme: 8 paid places, 2 free places from Gully's Gang, 1 from AITC

Can't believe how lucky i was regarding the mascots.
I emailed the club asking to put my kids in the hat to be a mascot and 4 days later i had a reply saying they had both been chosen for the home game vs Leicester. (last season)
Luck of the draw !! :D

This is all part and parcel of us becoming a bigger and more successful club. We have to use what ever we can to increase revenue within the club. Would I pay it? Probably not. Is it worth it? Well in my opinion yes. Assuming they carry it forward you to other games, I am guessing you will be able to book in advance. Imagine the look on your little ones face when on his birthday you say nope not doing different for your birthday we are going to football that should be special enough, only for him to be told on the train over that he is going to be a mascot and be able to walk out at the Amex with his hero. You are not just paying for the right to be a mascot you are paying for the convince of when you will be a mascot.

That means we are season ticket holders, so the extra seats are useless.

Extra seats are useless?

So your lad doesn't have another parent, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles or a mate and his Dad who wouldn't like to come and see your lad on the Amex pitch for his special day?

Sounds like common business sense, we get 3 free mascots as to one before, and if ppl wanna pay to see thier kids walkout, then thats fine by me, more money in the coffers, means higher wages if need to bring in better player in the transfer window.

Absolutely this. I'm afraid the manufactured outrage on here is the sort of crap that Paul barber is going to have to put up with every commercial decision he makes. Some people just want to have a knee-jerk moan about any change. The fact is that the club have INCREASED the free places available and priced the paid for ones competitively. If critics of the club want to be taken seriously they will have to choose a different fight than this one.

Absolutely right Bozza

although, like many things with our beloved football club, its not the decision or action itself that is wrong. But more the way the change is handled/presented. Simple change management is worth investing in.

What a noddy little outfit, fleecing their fans for every penny they can. Deary me, what a total lack of class.

To quote a Brighton fan a few months ago.

Correct.

And for the benefit of Mr Burns, there was never any outrage on my part. 'a shame' and 'a pity' were my chosen descriptons - and based on the facts as presented, rightly so.
