After RS's comment about changing personnel I think we need a specialist right back on loan. I actually think we need an experienced centre half as well to go with Tunnicliffe.

Do you think RS will go into loan market?

I think any team that has 2 x CB as full backs will ship goals.

There lies our problem

Is correct. Also I thought that whilst we we decent going forward imagine how much easier Bennett and A.Davies' job will be when they don't have to worry as much about protecting centre halves playing full back. Our attacking will get better with Jimmy Mac and Whingy back but how long till they will be?

Need a right back on loan for sure.

Should have signed Harding, we knew McNulty was going to be out until at least September and from what I gather McNulty is good enough to slot into midfield, which is what we could have done if Harding shone at LB.

As I said on another thread the lack of cover at LB and RB is a pretty big gaffe for a club with thoughts of anything better than survival.

He isn't on loan anywhere, he's just in the reserves.

I thought the club had loaned him to Tesco at the Holmbush Centre as they needed an extra person to collect the trolleys.

Hmm, should have signed him?
Maybe you mean it would have been nice to sign him, he'd have been good. But he went to Southampton instead.

Defence for the next match;
Kuipers
Virgo
Elphick
Tunnicliffe
Wright.

Simples, as far as I'm concerned. Virgo is not a disaster at right back, whereas El-Abd is. Wright will come back in, no need for a loan signing. As for moaning about the full back cover, we have 2 left backs who both happened to be injured at the same time. Bad luck, not bad planning. As for right back, we've got Whing with El-Abd and Virgo as acceptable back up.

If Wright comes in for the next game that will allow El Abd to play at right back on his natural side as opposed to left back, where he hasnt done too badly, thus allowing Virgo back into the middle. The other alternative is a right back on loan and Wright at left back. We most certainly do not need another central defender on loan.

I don't think Livermore, the most underrated Albion player of all time!!!, is out on loan. he should be starting in Mcnulty's absence but Wright is back now and will probably come straight in.

Crikey, how many times do some on here have to be told this. Livermore is UTTER GASH at left back, as was shown numerous times last season, not least at Wallsall when their right wing murdered the poor guy. He is in the reserves for a reason and that it that sadly, he does not have the speed, athleticism or sharpness to play at this level any more. As they say in the trade, he's lost his legs. Sad, because he's not too old in theory and he's got a good pedigree. Hope he proves me wrong.

My own view is that fullback is not as big a problem as the centre of defence where both Virgo and Elphick are too inconsistent and error-prone. As others have said elsewhere, an experienced Guy Butters / Simon Morgan type is what we need.

The jury is still very much out on Wright though - particularly at left back which is not his favourite position. But until McNulty gets back the switch you suggest has to be the best option (ie dropping Elphick and pairing Virgo and Tunnicliffe).
