For you 2 and anyone else that thinks it looks like a Pompey shirt, I see no red on our new shirt.
And for anyone saying it looks like a Pompey kit, rather than shirt, they have red socks.

EDIT- Many apologies for posting this photo :)

Portsmouth have had more than one kit you know. Personally I don't think it needs the fine attention to detail your asking for, I think an all blue shirt, white shorts and blue socks is enough to make it look like a Pompey shirt.

i like fine attention to detail, and when I first saw our new kit Portsmouth FC didn't even enter my thoughts.

That's fair enough. And no it isn't exactly the same, I think I'm just disappointed, I love our stripes.

Just had mine delivered (VERY quick work, Brighton - well done! Ordered Sunday 4pm-ish, received Tuesday morning) and it's very nice indeed in the flesh...

It's way more Ipswich Town than it is Portsmouth.

Been REALLY popular - apparently the new shirt sold four times the amount sold on the first day of sales last year/new kit sales up 300% on 2019.

Definitely seems to be a Marmite kit.

Traditionally Ipswich play in a mainly plain blue shirt, they’ve only used pin stripes on 4 occasions in their history. Are there any teams that actually use blue with white pin stripes regularly or, like ours, are they just used occasionally and sort of retro throwback kits? I know Millwall have gone pinstripes a few times too, can’t think of many others?

Roma’s new away kit, beautiful, I could well imagine it in white as our new away strip.

That is lovely.

I think it is nice - simple is always best, tbh.

HOWEVER, there would be pages and pages and pages of WHINES on here about 'lazy' design, and this thread tells us that many will lose sleep over a contrast collar...

From memory we’ve spoken shout about collars before, I’m a big fan but appreciate they’re not universally popular. On the plain, classic looking shirts in think a collar is a must, otherwise it looks like a shiny t-shirt. A white version of Roma’s shirt with blue or yellow trim would be lovely.
