I had to look it up: apparently it's a limited edition shirt, although presumably that's along the lines of "we're only going to make fifty of them because they're so shit, that's all we'll sell".

Fucks sake, I thought it was fresh...
Never mind the Cardiff result, I thought my day couldn't get any worse.
I was angry driving home thinking about this result. I stopped off in Crawley town center to grab a kebab to take home and in my haste forgot to put my seat belt on. I was then pulled over in a residential area by the police. It was dark and i could just make out the police sign on the roof while fumbling to put my belt on. No good their lights came on and i was doing over 30. My first thought was a £30 fine for not wearing a seat belt.
Anyway the copper said to me .....you know you were doing 50 in a 30 and do you know what the speed limit is around here!
I told him i did and then continued to chat to him pleasantly. He got his note pad out and then my world came crashing down - i'm getting my first ever points.
He then ran checks on my car which showed i was fully road legal.
If i'm honest i haven't really got a lot of time for the police from previous encounters but i always try to respect them though.
Anyway he only took my details down and gave me a warning. I couldn't believe my luck and i really couldn't thank him enough..
The moral of this story is that not all coppers are bad. I must add these were not traffic cops who wouldn't have been so lenient. Thanks Sussex police.

I have been caught a couple of times without a belt and i thought it was £30 ? Anyway being a HGV driver i never use to wear a seat belt and this bad habit was hard to break when getting into a car. My fault totally.
Seriously though the two coppers who pulled me over and especially the one taking my details was a decent,likable officer.
My licence remains clean still after 10 years and i told him that after thanking him. I even joked with the pair afterwards and said to them i thought you pulled me over for not wearing a seat belt. They both laughed and said .....don't tell us that. Two excellent coppers who just gave me a small ticking off before sending me on my way.

I'm the nicest person in the world when pulled over for speeding. Got stopped 3 times in 24 hours when I was a youngan (not big or clever I know), and got 3 'take your documents in' notices. Policeman in the office asked what I'd been up to.
I seem to have calmed down, currently point free.

Nah, it's been sixty for about five years. No points. It is a bad habit though, I'm not saying it because of my job, it genuinely is an automatic reflex for me to put the belt on and I always find it weird when people don't.
The last fatal accident I went to involved a bloke who hadn't bothered. Found him lying thirty metres from his car, which he'd lost control of and flown over a fence into a field. Nobody else involved. Don't suppose I'll change anyone's minds on here, habits are hard to break I know, but genuinely, it is worth it.

on the subject of seat belts - don't all cars shout at you nowadays if you don't put your belt on? Bloody irritating but it means that it's at least one thing I won't get stopped for. Mind you I'll probably get done one of these days for trying to reset the speed limiter between 50mph zones and the "no logical reason to change the limit but we'll put a camera here and cut it to 30" zones.
