Nerves and butterflies

I am SO nervous about tomorrow, and have butterflies in my stomach. It's such an important match, and if we loose then I think we are unlikely to be promoted. We should be able to beat QPR but I have a bad feeling we will be all disappointed come Monday.

I hope I'm proved wrong though. Would love to win!

I'm nervous too, first home game and all that, but with a few pints in me I'm sure the old championship spirit will come flooding back.

It's gonna be three in four years!

I'm very pessimistic! What I meant to say is that if we loose against QPR at home then we are unlikely to go through because we should be able to beat them at home. They are probably of the same standard as us, and I just have a dreaded feeling about this season. Unlike previous seasons, we are expecting the team to come straight back up, and I don't know if the team can take this kind of pressure.

It's not a case of either/or BrightonBird.

Even if the worse came to the worse and we lost tomorrow there are other teams we can beat and be runners up or even play off places.

Let me reassure you. We hadn't won at Oldham since 1979 before last Saturday. I was nervous about that game.

Don't be pessimistic. From an earlier thread 2 of their best players are out.

We have a good team and a good manager.

QPR will be more than a little worried about us.

Either way, tomorrow night will not end our season.

I'm not expecting the team to come straight up. I'm hoping we will do well. I didn't expect it two years ago. We will hold our own. think of the playoffs or automatic promotion as a nice bonus!

Just enjoy the game everyone!:drink:

totally agree if we have any aspirations of glory this season then we should beat teams of qpr's quality at home.as sc said this is the real yard stick we can judge ourselves by

well it was not an immature post i was just in disbelieve that someone would think that if we lost our second league game that it would determine wether we gained promotion or not.

Tomorrow will be many people's first Albion game of the season. Personally I enjoy the mix of anticipation and nervousness that comes with the first home game of the season. I just hope that people get right behind the team from kick-off tomorrow because I felt that was lacking when Coventry visited last season. I am looking forward to starting off the SEAGULLS chant as the players come down the stairs!!!

Beach Hut, hope your son enjoys being a ball boy!
