Im 15 and looking for work desperately but i need a national insurance number to get many jobs

can i apply for one of do i just get sent it?

what age do i get it if i get it sent?

I f i remember rightly you get sent it when you turn 16.

Until you are 16 you are only allowed to do something like a paper round.
Anything else is illegal. You don't need an NI number to do a paper round.

Its accurate enough, the only work allowed for under 16's is extremely, extremely limited - either in hours or in what you do.

p.s i did a paper round wen i was 13 and am not inclined to going back to those mornings of getting up @ 6.00am then falling asleep wen i get home from skl

Over here you phone up the social welfare and ask for one, its probably quite similar - who issues them? Department of Work and Pensions or somebody else?

Half true Yorkie, but there are waviers on this.
Children are restricted by the number of hours they can work, but not by how much they can be paid so can be big earners - the usual place for this is in child actors - the lad who plays Harry Potter has been paid a kings ransome for his efforts - and HMRC will want their cut !!!
