Nathan Jones's Benny Hill moment at Swindon

Looked funny at the time, but even better on Sky. The one where he attempted a crafty flick pass back through his legs in the first half, but only succeeded in falling over his own feet.

Bet he's getting some stick in training for that, especially given that the Swine players and crowd were splitting their sides laughing.

Pure Benny Hill, and worth the £13 ticket price I think.

football genius.

The other ones were just frustrating as he missed two clear chances to get crosses in, through trying to be clever.

However, I forgive him, purely on account of the comedy tripping-over-his-own-feet routine.

I'm going to stick up for him - I think he played well. Ran at defenders, drawing them out and creating space in the box. Ok so he didn't always get it right, but as I've said before you can't expect 100% perfect even in the Premiership, and we are only Div 2 at the moment.

Seems to me that when he's crossing in games, people are shouting at him to take defenders on, and when he does this like yesterday, people want him to cross. Perhaps we should do a thread each week before the game so the poor guy knows what to do so he's not moaned about.

I agree, though am very far from an Albion expert and only watched yesterday on Sky.
Thought Jones looked one of the most positive players, was trying to create, even if sometimes didn't come off.
Was frustrated so little of the ball was given to Reid on the other flank in the first half - don't know if he'd have done anything decent with it, but couple of times looked like space was there, crying out for the right wing to be used only for the ball to go left again.
Overall, though, very solid, and still can't quite believe this is the same Guy Butters I remember from a decade ago at the Lane.
Am tempted to say he's found his level - and heroically. . . :clap2:

I agree 100%

I am sick of people moaning about Nathan Jones. Every manager we have had (and we agree we have had good quality managers) have played Jonah regularly.
