Hardly too poor, was on the phone straight away to them and payed them £260 and they removed the clamp within an hour

Expensive phone call, I always get a reminder from the DVLA for both of our cars when the tax is due, I'm sure the reminder is about 3 to 4 weeks in advance of it running out.

Yep, not only do they always send you a reminder, but they also handily print the expirey on the actual tax disk that you put in the window of our vehicle. No real excuse for forgetting.

Quite obviously i don't know what car is involved, but the way I'm thinking, is it is a matter of HAVING to pay to get it back, or else the cost's just escalate / the car gets scrapped..........the fact as to if one can afford it or not, probably is not the case.
