My two cents.

1) The Defence ; I thought it was solid today, MK only had one proper chance and were restricted to a few long range shots, which Michel dealt with comfortably. I thought that with 11 on the field, we looked solid and comfortable and even pushed both full backs up field. With 10 men, and Bennett at right back, we still looked comfortable and calm and we've only conceeded 1 goal for the last couple of games, that is encouraging and it's improving as a unit, the midfield screened them well today aswell and the team as a whole defended stoutly.

2) Adam El-Abd ; Blatant red card, but it was a decent shot when he was one on one from the angle and actually didn't look completely out of place today. And then the karate kick, and the deserved red card. Half competant at right back, but will always be a liability.

3) Liam Dickinson ; What a shift he put in. I thought he looked a bit rubbish today on the ball at times, and then an absolute magician at other times with some of his mazy runs. Such an enigma, but the one thing you couldn't argue today was how hard he worked for the team, the running he did to put people under pressure and to make space for others. Russell Slade said we'd have the most hard working an industrious side, and it's starting to be proven.

4) Glenn Murray. :clap2: He's back BABY.

5) Good performance ; We played well! We dominated them even with 10 men, Gary Dicker is an absolute legend in the centre of midfield and as far as I am concerned if we had played a central midfield duo of Dicker and Crofts with Forster on the left, Dickinson on the right and Murray through the centre would have worked rather well. But instead, Thornhill came on for some reason. I was VERY encouraged by the performance today and if we continue to perform as we are at the moment, we WILL get the results.

It's not always about negatives. Russell Slade is the man for this job and he's getting us more organised and more able to actually achieve results... give him time and a little bit of patience, and we'll have an Albion to be proud of.

Cant argue with anything you've said there Ninj'......(Apart from the red card.)

I think for the moment its about performances....

Yeah, I know, its no good performing well but not getting the points but for BHA as a team we have needed to perform better. That is really starting to happen now.

The next step is to start climbing up the table and secure our place in League 1 for next season. Anyone that thought we were going to be a serious threat from the start of the season needs their head testing. Lets not forget that RS has always said that building a team for the future was always going to take time. Unless Abramovic or some looney arab buys us. The team should be fully established by end of this season giving us a real shot at promotion for next season.

For me, its not about finishing in the top 6 this season. Its about getting the team right. Anyone that thinks that we are not improving steadily needs to go and support a top 6 team in the prem cos you aint getting no glory from the seagulls just yet...

We all have to wait a little longer for that, but for those with a bit of patience, I hope we will have our glory but all in good time.

Todays performance, for me, proves that we are getting better and with this kind of progress its only a matter of time until we have our glory...

Eloquently put. :ascarf:

I look forward to seeing the red card again though, a few people I've spoken to seem to think it wasn't as clear cut as I thought.

by the strict word for word law on sending offs, el abd has no case for appeal , by the ref having 1 iota of common sense and not a sense of drama,a yellow card would have been the correct course of action, these refs seem to be more actors these days and i bet he is at home right now cock in hand waiting for the football league show so he can vinegar stroke on his 2 seconds in the spotlight
