my team for Swindon

Based on the news that Andrew is back i will go with this.

Kuipers

Whing Elphick Virgo Borrowdale

Davies Dicker Fraser Mcleod

Owusu Andrew

with mcleod in the team he will offer more with his best attribute, getting balls into the box and with Andrew and Owusu in there against there poor defense we can get a few goals. Also use Davies pace down the wing as their Left back had a shocker when we played them earlier in the season.

Why change the side? Our problem this season has been chopping and changing, Andrew hasn't played for too long to be thrown straight into the team.

Same starting line up as Tuesday.
Don't change a winning team.

Same team as Tuesday for me, why change things when we played so well?

I can see the logic in Davies as a winger, but we've learned the downside of trying players out of position this season. Stick with the same team as Tuesday, and bearing in mind that similar tactics are likely to completely tire out the front 2, have Harty and Andrew ready to step in so that Owusu & Davies are fit for Monday.

McLeod for Cox? Seriously?

Cox cant cross and with two massive lumps in the box getting on the end of Mcleod's crosses which are far superior to the little man's, then we can really exploit there frailties and get some vital goals.

McLeod has come on and put in a couple of decent crosses in his season here. Cox's crossing is usually woeful, yet was strangely spot-on on Tuesday. He also played very well and offered a lot turning and going forward with the ball.

If we had a quality winger who could cross better than Cox then I'm all for it, but McLeod has shown us nothing this year.

Yeah, same side for me. The diamond will work well against their set up, we used the diamond home and away against them last season, and won with ease both times. Though they play slightly differently this season, their left back is a right back who doesn't get forward, so we don't need to worry about being over run on our left hand side, Whing can take McNamee and Robson-Kanu (they swap sides periodically), and Borrowdale will have no problems with either, they both will want to come inside.

They have a very attacking right back, Amankwaah. Think Glen Johnson, only a league 1 version! So he might be an issue, but with Fraser playing the left side of the diamond, he can cover that. Cox will drop off Paynter and make late runs, but an anchor man like Dicker should cope with that, if he plays as well as he did against Hereford he shouldn't have many problems picking him up.

Greer is their best defender, on loan from Doncaster. He'll be their captain aswell, Owusu will be playing on him I would imagine, and Davies will have a field day against the clumsy oaf that is Jerel Ifil, unless their 17 year old centre back Morrison is fit enough to play in place of Ifil. We shall see, but I feel confident! :albion2:

Were you there on tuesday? Hereford were erm... woeful. Davies played well against Tranmere( at right wing), a promotion chasing team and on a better day would have put away that chance he had, Mcleod has played very rarely this season but has started 4 times and scored two goals Barnet and Hartlepool and showed great promise in pre-season when he scored that stunner against Ipswich.

Also whenever Cox plays well he has 4 awful games afterward so id rather have somebody else.

Calvin Andrew is training with the Seagulls this morning and will boost Russell Slade's attacking options on Saturday for the home game with Swindon Town.

Won't be ready to start though. Davies was class on Tuesday and should be allowed to carry on up front. Owusu and Andrew shouldn't play up front together, too similar type of player.

So someone who played well in pre season should start ahead of a player who in the last few games has been in great form in the last couple of games. I'm not the biggest fan of Cox, his set pieces in particularly but he has played very well lately, one of the few that game out of the MK game with any credit and caused problems on tuesday as well. Mcleod however has proved to be nothing more than a sicknote with an occasional, VERY OCCASIONAL moment of brilliance
