My son is Four today, he has just received a birthday card from Brighton's gully's gang, with a signed photo of Matt sparrow and a two pound voucher to spend in the club shop, i would just like to say, i think its a very kind gesture from your football club, its put a smile on my sons face.

(I am going to email the club too, i just thought i would also show my appreciation to the people that make the club what it is...the fans)

THANK YOU:albion:.

The club are brilliant like that with the Gullys Gang membership. They sent my son a signed photo of Elliott Bennett and a Seagulls wallet for his birthday this year.

The pre season gifts and birthday cards, together with the Christmas Party with the players this Monday coming, open day and other sundry stuff make it a really attractive benefit for all of those families signed up. It's brilliant and my family has benefitted. How many kids make it from Gully's Gang to youth and adult regular fans is unclear. Let us all hope that it marks a return to kids being genuinely excited about going to see their local club rather than accepting a shirt and Sky Sports subscription only from idiot fathers who let them believe that in this way they become 'real' Arsenal or 'real' Manc supporters.

This, we have talked on NSC about the lost generation from the time when things weren't too good at the Goldstone, we were playing in exile or the early days at Withdean. It sounds like the club are making grand efforts to ensure that this isn't repeated, that local kids think first of the Albion when it comes to football, this is how Falmer can be filled in the future. I think they should be applauded for their efforts, the rewards are uncertain but at least the balance is being redressed.

I concur.

And also how much does it cost Brighton, surely it must run at a huge loss.

i thinks it's great what the club does but cant understand why they dont make a nominal charge, say £5 to cover their costs and to save waste. Kids also get a free shirt on one birthday

I would happily pay £5.
