So we lost tonight, can't say I'm overly bothered as in my opinion the league has to be our priority this season, and if that means limited participation in the cups then so be it.

For me the huge positive about tonight, is the result will without question force Gus to press on and up the urgency in terms of bringing new faces into the club, namely a new target man, a positive result tonight may have seen Gus believe he can utilise the players we already have and the new additions be put on the back burner.

Remember we were without key players tonight, Lua Lua, Buckley, CMS, Crofts.... Big players for us.

Don't judge our chances this season on a first round league cup tie in our first competitive game of the season, I have every confidence you will see an improved performance at Hull and I have a sneaky suspicion we may see at least one new face by then aswell.

Keep the faith.

Not bothered that we're out of this cup. League is far more important and Gus has just pretty much confirmed it in his interview on sky.

Good points indeed.. Whatever the result we need a new striker.. So let's hope that has been sorted. Bit unfair to think we are one shite based on losing as we missed many key players.. Look forwards to GP comments..

Doesn't need Gus to tell you that, it's not rocket science.

Just remember what happened the last time we lost in the first round of the league cup to a lower league side.

Really didn't look like we wanted to win. It's safe to say our cup runs f***ed us up last season.

Vicente didn't look comfortable where he was playing, and as is mentioned over and over again. There's no plan B.

I understand that, but it costs loads to go to away games just feel sorry for the fans that pay good money.

That might have been a fairer thing to do.

Noone was shocking. Every cross was woeful.
Vicente was out of position
Barnes was starved off service
Dunk was poor
Harley is in the wrong league
Bridcutt went on his holidays in the second half
Bruno faded after his clash

Only Dicker played well I thought

Get over it mate. Without a shadow of a doubt, Hull away is the priority! Stuff the Mickey Mouse cup, end of pre season, end of....

not end off for the 650 fans that went to a so called micky mouse cup to see that tonight

I was f***ing livid watching it... However we moved the ball so slowly in midfield but with Harley and Dicker was that a surprise.

I'm sure with Crofts and El-Abd back in the side it will be different. I'm concerned about ineffective we look going forward and Vicente is wasted in the role as a central striker but I'm sure those issues will be put right. It was shit, but then we were f***ing woeful against Northampton 2 years ago and it all went very well after that

If you travel to Swindon on a Tuesday night in the first round of the league cup, 4 days before the start of our league season and don't half expect us to put a weakened side out or worst still maybe lose, then I'm afraid you are slightly deluded.

Respect to those who travelled, but please, do get over it..... Hull is what matters.

Bruno - now he is going to be a big player this season

Looks good going forward but needs to keep his discipline and not "spit his dummy out" when his trickery and fancy footwork don't get him round the opposition and he loses the ball.

Durso was lenient (for a change) with him tonight but not all refs will be so kind.

Our new signings for the new campaign, Bruno and Bridge both played well. Out of those that played for us last season, Navarro was in fine form.

WHY? It was clear for MOST of us that this was a game that meant f*** ALL! I almost went, in fact today i was still considering it, but even if I had gone I would have come home thinking the same thing. Hull away is MUCH MORE important than some waste of time Carling cup match against a bunch of League 1 (title contenders i'll give you that) mugs.
If you get his upset about a result such as tonight, you're gonna want to slit your wrists by Christmas...

Apart from the comment about Dicker, I think you are spot on.
