The league is a done deal, everyone else is in the hunt for second place, and that Cardiff will win by at least 5 clear points.

I laughed a lot.

I laughed some more.

I offered a fiver on any of the following:-

Cardiff would not win the league by 5 points.
Cardiff would not win the league
and even
No team would win the league by 5 points.

He said no to all bets.

I laughed some more.

Step down for Nooney IMO. Mainly cos of how good the AMEX is. Other than that we're pretty even but they've had more experience.

It started as a reasonable debate, I was cautiously optimistic about our chances.
I would only go so far as to say we'll do better this year.

But he had one of those moments and it all came spewing out:-
'We've brought the league this year'.
'£2.5m on a player and not play him'.
'Nobody will get close to us'.
It was then the 5 point issue was raised, and I started laughing.

Admittedly I was concerned when I let my jaw run away with me, and offer 'nobody will win by 5'.
I was quite pleased he did take that one up.

They've got a chance and should finish above us.

Thought they were good against us but then they got spanked 4-2 by Bristol City.
Hardly form of champions.
Ask him if he still thinks they`ll walk the league.

So far we look easily their equals, if not their betters.

Please keep off the pitch at the end of the season so the Cardiff players can do a lap of honour.

If they don't go up IMO the foreign owners will most likely throw their toys out of the pram. The debt owed to them must be growing with all the new players coming, it looks once again more like promotion or bust.

Given the ludicrous amount of money they've spent it will be seen as a failure if they don't get promoted automatically.

They have spent ASTONISHING sums of money for a championship club.

There's no basis for this speculation is there. They're presumably investing money abroad in infrastructure and marketing etc, and they know they're not guaranteed promotion, so it wouldn't make much business sense to throw it away if they fail to go up.

Think it's £100 million their in debt. That's what their fans were saying.

They've completely changed their brand, because they expect to make more money from the Far East than they get here, which to me basically means they are no longer Cardiff. They are now the Malaysian team that happens to play in Cardiff. I can't see the point in supporting a club like that.

People saying they've spent loads of money, but what exactly have they spent it on? I haven't heard them make any really expensive signings?

They've spent the most of any championship club at an est 13m. They bought:

Craig Noone
Heida Helgusson
Craig Bellamy
Nicky Maynard
Tommy Smith
Matt Connolly
Kim Bo-Kyung (2.5 million)
Etien Velikonja (2 million)
Jordan Mutch (2 million)
Joe Lewis
