Nobody shat themselves on a train. That story, in various guises, has been doing the rounds for years and years. Last told to me by a friend in the Army - who swore it was true - but also heard at a Billy Connelly gig a few years previously, and he swore it was true too.

The proper version has the protagonist disappearing into the toilet with the carrier bag containing replacement clothes and throwing his soiled garments out of the window. It is only then that he discovers the carrier bag contains a pullover. Or somesuch item other than trousers.
