Seaside, do you honestly believe what you say

Neither Bruno or Lopez were reserves in la liga :lol::lol:

Bruno Saltor made 33 appearances in 2 years. Hardly a regular. Lopez had his contract terminated by mutual agreement after playing 13 times in total (mostly as a sub) for Athletic Bilbao last year. That doesn't mean that they are bad players at all, it just means that they weren't featuring for their old teams and so clearly aren't up to La Liga standard (which doesn't mean they can't be good Championship players as the standard is much higher in the Spanish top flight.)

Now have a look and see who they were competing for places with.

can't we have an away fans bit, and get this SHIT off OUR board

Sam Ovett

The New Manager Bus
You finished 10 points above us, and have improved your squad. However we have also improved our squad massively. We are a completely different proposition this year. That doesn't take into account that we wouldn't have been so far behind you (or even behind you at all) but for the cup run and the massive amount of injuries we suffered (we played without our back 4 for at least a month)

Replaced Clyne with Ward...not an improvement
Replaced Ambrose with...Moritz? We'll wait and see
Replaced Gardner with Delaney? Probably not an improvement, per se

Sorry, I don't know who else you signed. Oh, actually, Goodwillie is a pretty selfish striker, but not done too well since coming to England.

Improved massively? Doubt it

Whereas we've added David Lopez Moreno (La Liga class), Bruno (La Liga class), Bridge (Premiership class), Hammond (Captained a promoted side last season), Orlandi (Been promoted in the Champ, played in Prem and did well, albeit only a few games), Dobbie (Reached three consecutive Play off finals and won two of them), Kuszcak (Prem Class), Crofts (Promoted with Norwich and done 'ite in the Prem last season)

I think we've massively improved our squad to a greater extent, but then again, Zaha is the best player in the world.

If only it was that simple! 3-1 last year despite all your crowing in the lead up to the game. You will never learn...

I actually agree with you in the direct games respect.

Being old enough to remember when we were if not bigger than you, then at least roughly level, however far we are ahead of you in the table, and whatever the attendances are (I do realise it's the first time for 20-plus years) things will not be totally resolved until we have handed you a couple of quality beatings.

I fully expect that to happen this season (when, like last season, we are a much better side than you). But it might not.

However, on one aspect you are hopelessly deluded. The tide has already turned. That was a couple of years ago. Maybe you missed it.

Muzza: he left you for the bigger club. Face it, with the right service he will get 20 goals. And in Zaha, Moritz, Goodwillie, Bolasie and Williams, he will get that.

LOL Bigger club  1 home win and the nigerls are back out gobbing off :ffsparr:

You seriously are a deluded moron. Being a fringe player does not equate to not being up to the standard, you obviously haven't seen bruno play because if you had, you'd see that he is a totally different class to any other right-back in this league.

I swear to god even if palace were relegated by march and you had lost all of your good players in the jan window you would somehow try to spin it as 'good for the club'.

Your fabled cup run that saw you play ONE game more than us

Every club has injuries, we had our fair share too - you were no worse off in that department.

Take your tinted specs off and compare signings between the 2 clubs, then tell me you have improved your squad more than we have, seriously seaside even you can see the inevitable on the horizon!

I disagree that we weren't worse off in the injury department. At the end of last season when we had our long winless run, we were missing at least half of our first team, and pretty much all of our defense. For the last month or so, our back 4 consisted of one centre-back and 3 left-backs, it was a joke.

I also believe that we have improved our squad more than you have. I don't know if our players are better, and neither do you - as you haven't seen ours and I haven't seen yours. All I know is that we are certainly a lot stronger than we were last season. We have a starting XI with at least 6 or 7 new players in it, and they are all (apart from Clyne --> Ward) better than the players that they replaced. Scannell for example has been replaced by Bolasie who has beaten his man far more consistently with a far better end product than Sean had for us so far. We now actually have a real threat up front and going forward. We massively struggled to score goals last season (only yourselves and Ipswich(?) had fewer shots than we did last season, and you actually scored more!) but we haven't failed to score yet this season and we look a far stronger side.

I can't see "the inevitable" because there is nothing inevitable about the horizon at all. Either one of us could have a better season. I think only a fool would be so confident of something like that at this early stage. I would propose that you are the one who is wearing the tinted spectacles, not I.

Read the original post on this as it relates too this summer. Last summer we had to spend to upgrade our squad from League 1 to Championship and were 10th as a result.

We will probably spend more and have a higher wage bill than you as we have bigger crowds and more funds coming in from events at the ground owing to the fact we have a smart new ground and yours is a dump!

It is unlikely that you have a higher wage bill. We have a wage bill that is the same size as Leeds'.

I think you're exaggerating how good your new signings are (with the exception of Dobbie) as Orlandi hardly got a game for Swansea, and your La Liga players were very much in the reserves (or else you wouldn't have signed them)
In Swansea's last 2 season's in the Championship Orlandi had 30, then 20 league appearances. He only played a few times for them in the premier league, so perhaps he's not premier league standard, but then we're not in the premier league. We also won't need him in every game as we already have decent wingers. Lopez has played in La Liga 196 times - that's not reserves. So you were just assuming it was reserves because you didn't think we could attract a player from La Liga

I certainly think that we will find ourselves comfortably in the top half this season, and I think that you may well join us there
:lolol: us join you there. We finished in the top half last year, you didn't. We're in the top half now, you're not. How exactly are we to be joining you there?

Oh i forgot that result, you win, you must be a much better side than us. And you beat Manure so you must be up there as one of the best teams in the world. If only we could dream of beating palarse so we can then be a bigger club. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've enjoyed the rivalry with Palace. We need to make the most of the next 2 games against them cos I can see us being 2 leagues higher than them next year. Must get a few quid on Palarse to go down while the bookies are still taking bets 😃 #youreshitandyouknowyouare

Well, no, actually. I wasn't assuming it was the reserves, I looked up how many games he had played. He certainly wasn't a reserve at first, but in the last season he most certainly HAS been a reserve player. I was judging him based on his most recent full season under their new manager, not the entirety of his career. It would be like trying to argue that Anelka wasn't a reserve for Chelsea before he left, because he played almost every game in their 2009 season.

By "joining us in the top half", I did not mean to imply anything, it was merely stating that I think we'll both be there at the end of the season. That's it. Although I think it would be difficult to argue that you're more established there in this division than we are, considering we have spent the majority of the last three decades there or thereabouts.
