Feeling a bit down in the dumps earlier, I decided to go out for a run. For a soundtrack, I decided to stick this on for a bit of a dark laugh, and I have to admit it genuinely cheered me up. All our times have come...

They’re not my usual musical taste, but I’ve always adored that beautiful track.

Very silly, very simple but always brings a smile to my face

One of the comments sums it up:
"If you ever want to cry with the biggest smile on your face without being committed-give this a listen."

Soul-lifting.

Turn up the volume and close your eyes.

So appropriate for the way people are feeling at the moment.

"Overkill"

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be all right
Perhaps it's just imagination

And day after day it reappears
And night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away

Alone between the sheets
Only brings exasperation
It's time to walk the streets
Smell the desperation
At least there's pretty lights
And though there's little variation
It nullifies the night
From overkill

Day after day it reappears
Night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Come back another day

I can't get to sleep
I think about the implications
Of diving in too deep
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations that
I know will be all right
It's just overkill

And day after day it reappears
And night after night my heartbeat shows the fear
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away
Ghosts appear and fade away

Also almost anything from the Ready, Steady, Go Show last night on BBC4 - made the 1989 TOTP look even more awful than it was.

The annoying thing watching Ready, Steady, Go was the amount of wiped recordings which would have been great to view had they still been available.
