One of many sports ? Yes, of course it is. And music is just music, no ? There are no distinctions within it, it is a monolithic construct so it doesn't matter what music you have = all music is the same. Opera = folk = punk = good old rock'n'roll. Some of these you could replace with a visit to the dentist.
Football is not table tennis, neither is it rowing, basketball, rounders,.........all with their supporters, all sports have their merits. But I'd bet that 27,000 people wouldn't flock to the Amex to watch the table tennis, not even with free entry and a free pint.
And I don't expect Peruvian pan pipe music would draw as much support as a Rolling Stones concert, but both are music
The Rolling Stones make excellent ironing music, of course.
