Football. Last season I had the choice of going to stopover in Lewes or watching a few football matches as I only had the money for one of them. I chose football.

It has to be music, how dull would the football be without being able to sing?

I have forgiven him. I put it down to drugs or something.

I saw Numan tour the Replicas and Pleasure Principle albums a few years ago.

Was that at the dome? I saw him do a warm at at Concorde 2 which was surprisingly good. The last time at the dome was a mixture of hits and not the best to be honest. He recently did a session on six music of songs from his latest album. They were excellent.

Music comes on only when I have ironing to do.

Football is more pressing.

Gary Numan did when he stated he was a Tory.

There was a snippet in the Guardian the day before yesterday where Gary Numan said he regretted voting Tory.

And for the original question, Music. But I am going deaf, so that might change, and am thoroughly enjoying my season ticket new this year.

I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks!

Music for me, it keeps on giving, whereas football these days seems to just take.

Live gigs are enlightening too:

Peter Gabriel last week.

Suede last night
Peter Hook tonight

and then Placebo, I Like Trains, Fields of the Nephilim, The Mission.

I know my musical taste doesn't make me a hipster, but it gives a constant reminder of another time and place, and that's why I love it.

To thine own self be true. You shouldn't like things just because you think other people think you ought to..... if that makes sense.

I take your Marillion and BJ and raise you the first single I ever bought, Crazy Horses by The Osmonds

OMG; and there was me thinking I was the only one. Crazy horses, first single. Blockbuster, second single. George Formby, first album.

Perhaps it won't be a surprise that I've voted football.

Music all the way.

95% of football bores me TBH. If it wasnt for the fact I started supporting my team before I fell in love with music I would not give football a second glance!!

Music all the way. I would say 80% of my posts are music related. 15% football and 5 % the rest.

I saw Brian Connolly's Sweet play in Manchester in 1987. The poor sod was clearly suffering the effects of his alcoholism (which was then in remission), semi convulsing on stage, looking as white as his (thinning) hair, and struggling to hit the notes. Terrible thing to see, but they did play Blockbuster TWICE.

NOthing wrong with a bit of Marillion...Grendel is one of the greatest songs ever written!

Really?

New thread needed "Best Marillion songs over 9 minutes long" my vote goes to Neverland, this should also spark off the Hogarth Vs Fish debate nicely
