For me the 90s was the worst decade of music that I have a reasonable knowledge of (ie. 60s to now)

Best bands were in America in the 90s. Chili Peppers & Rage Against The Machine etc, our music sounded dull compared to these.

Oasis dominated the mid/late 90's music. (in the UK at least)

Anyone who disagrees with that is wrong.:bigwave:

Hah! NMH's videos prove how cool Brighton is.

Played pool many a times with Gaz Coombes in the Eddy, really nice guy,
and Adrian Oxaal, lead guitarist in the James video you posted, is in the
Battle of Trafalgar most nights, again, really nice bloke.

Nobody would expect an old codger like you to enjoy the ninetys.

For what it's worth my old man grew up in the late sixties and seventies and he reckons the ninety's were at least as good!

There were bands who gave their respective nods to the 1960's and 1970's, and they tended to be better for it.
Your vid couldn't be viewed, but that band did a marvelous cover of a Stones-written tune (I hope this one plays);

A couple more - one under-rated band, followed by an over-rated one..... but all in the same artistic form so who cares? Both dipped into the deep well of sixties styles and influences

Some of what I was listening to in the 90s...

House of Love
Ride
The Wannadies
Boo Radleys
Neds Atomic Dustbin
Kula Shaker
Soup Dragons
The Charlatans
Inspiral Carpets
Carter USM
The Stone Roses
Happy Mondays
Suede
Black Grape
Utah Saints
The Bluetones
Super Furry Animals
R.E.M.
Soundgarden
The Chemical Brothers
Primal Scream
The La's
Cornershop
Prodigy
Daft Punk
Pulp
Mansun
Pet Dhop Boys
Del Amitri
Electronic
Morphine
The Farm
Super Grass
Jesus Jones
Kirsty MacColl

Most of these still sound great, but a few poor sods like The Farm and The Neds have dated horribly.
