I have copied a CD that my son owns onto my PC and then copied it onto a CD to play on my CD player. The complete CD plays OK on my PC but of the 17 tracks only about 5 play on my CD player. If I try it again the first 3 tracks always play but then it is any 2 or 3 at random after this that play not always the same tracks. Obviously they are all on the CD. Some of them sound just like an old fashioned record that was dirty and scratched.

Could it be that I need some other or better CDs or am I doing something wrong. I have tried downlaoding off of Win MX and the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

What sort of quality are the CD's? And have you tried them in different CD players?

My sister and I have identical Sony Hi-Fi's and whilst hers would only play the first few tracks of a burned CD, mine has never had a problem with them.

The CD's themselves do make a difference though. I tend to find the Memorex ones are always good stuff but some own brand ones my mum picked up somewhere for cheap would only work in the computer and rarely ever in Hi-Fi's
